Merry Christmas!!

Twas the night before christmas and all through the house

not a creature was stirring- especially not a mouse

Fluffy made sure of that.

The dollies were tucked away snug in their beds

Visions of sugar plums danced in their heads.

What the heck is a sugar plum?

When what to my wondering eye should appear

the hour of... 8:32 was drawing quite near.

It was at that point I decided to stop rhyming

Also, Lilly woke up.

She yawned sleepily

Then gasped. "Its christmas." she whispered

"IT'S CHRISTMAS, ANDIE, WAKE UP WAKE UP ITS CHRISTMAS!!" 

gnnymmm later zzzzz

"Not later- NOW" she shoved her feet into her slippers 

And dashed over to the presents

"hey wait for me!"

 now we can do presents.

paper was torn

And thrown.

Lilly got a big thick sweater with pink stripes.

"It's so warm and soft!"

And Andie got a camo backpack
"finally one that's not too girly!"

 Then they opened their secret santa gifts from the cousins. {Barrett's dolls}

 Lilly received a tank top from McKenna. Lilly and McKenna are pretty much the same person, concerning style.

 And Andie opened a puffy jacket from Maddie

 Saige gave them a mustache t shirt.

 Santa brought them chocolate

"Oh... I don't like white chocolate."

 For christmas breakfast they had pancakes.

Snow doesn't come until January/February for us. Never had a white christmas.

My Dolls had a lovely christmas. Now they must go write Thank you cards.

I made a thing.

Looky what I made!! *shoves sweater in your face*

 I used this tutorial on American Girl Place to make it.

Made from a carhartt sock. Were pretending it's an awesome doll sweater brand.
I had tried originally with one of my dad's socks, but messed it up pretty bad, so I found one of mine that I don't like to wear.

 entirely pullover. no velcro.

 Hand sewn. I have a sewing machine but don't know how to use it. So until I can remember to ask my aunt to help me, I'm hand sewing things.

 Im actually pretty pleased with it.

 Don't tell Lilly, but this is going to be her christmas present. I think it will go fabulously with her blond hair.

Im thinking of trying something. Called "Felt Food Fridays". I am pretty good at making felt doll food, and I'd like to show you how. Ive been feeling like this blog need a like more variety. So you can expect some felt food sometime soon.

A Romp in The Woods

Hello, all! It is finally christmas break! I can post pretty much whenever I want! Plus, dad brought home a chromebook, with usually resides in his classroom, but for the break its here and I won't have to share the computer very much. : )

Anyway it has been FAR too long sense I did a photoshoot with Lilly, and I set out to fix that.

 Normally I leave her hair hanging down, but that was getting kinda old, so I tried loose braids.

 I just love her blue eyes. They go well with the gray sweatshirt, like clouds and sky.

She found this little cave made of branches with a vine hanging over the entrance.

 Its pretty awesome, only it was too dark for pictures to be any good.

 I could use it in a photo story this summer. (I'm trying to write a story. i have a beginning and half of an end. No middle. : (  I'm working on it, but no promises.)

If I curl into a ball i can fit myself inside.
